Laser & Die Cutting

Krayden offers precision Laser & Die Cutting of epoxy film and thermal materials, serving high-reliability manufacturing programs including satellites, RF microwave assemblies, defense systems, and high-volume thermal management projects.

We are experts at laser cutting epoxy preforms, microwave absorbers, thermal interface materials (TIM), EMI shielding, Teflon, silicone, and other specialty formats. Our application engineers have the technical knowledge to help you select the right material and cutting specification to meet your manufacturing requirements — with assembly-ready packaging options for direct production use.

Materials & Capabilities

Krayden's Bonding Source division operates laser and die cutting systems capable of processing a wide range of film, sheet, and specialty material formats to tight tolerances.

Epoxy Film Preforms

B-staged epoxy films cut to precise geometries for die attach, lid seal, and structural bonding in microelectronics. Supports custom shapes, arrays, and reel-to-reel packaging for automated pick-and-place.

Thermal Interface Materials

Phase change materials, graphite sheets, silicone pads, and gap fillers cut to component-level dimensions for heat dissipation in power electronics, RF modules, and computing hardware.

EMI Shielding

Conductive elastomers, absorber materials, and shielding foils die-cut to exact enclosure or gasket profiles for RF and microwave assemblies requiring electromagnetic interference suppression.

Microwave Absorbers

Precision cutting of broadband absorber materials used in phased array antennas, radar systems, and T/R modules. Complex geometries achievable through laser cutting with minimal kerf loss.

Teflon & Silicone Films

PTFE, FEP, and silicone sheet materials cut for electrical insulation, release liners, and dielectric applications. Laser cutting enables intricate cutouts and fine feature details not achievable with die tooling.

Custom & Specialty Formats

Beyond standard materials, Krayden can evaluate customer-supplied or supplier-qualified materials for laser or die cutting feasibility. Prototype runs and first-article inspection available prior to full production.

Preform Value Add

Converting bulk film materials into precision preforms eliminates manual dispensing, reduces process variation, and improves assembly yields. Key benefits include:

  • Precise amount of adhesive exactly where needed
  • Void-free bond lines with controlled thickness
  • Compatible with automatic pick-and-place equipment
  • Reduced operator handling and contamination risk
  • Clean, waste-free assembly with no mixing or dispensing
  • Custom tray, reel, or interleaved packaging for production
  • In-stock materials with 1–2 week quick-turn capability

High-Reliability Industries Served

Defense & Aerospace

Engines, turbines, sensors, guidance systems, navigation systems, and electronic component assembly requiring AS9120 / MIL-spec qualified materials.

Radar & Sonar

Antennas, phase shifters, T/R modules, power modules, transmitters, and sensors where tight tolerance cutting and absorber material performance are critical.

Satellite Systems

Directed energy, communications, guidance and navigation control systems, and telecommunications — where outgassing, weight, and thermal performance requirements are stringent.

Power Electronics & EV

Thermal interface preforms for IGBT modules, power inverters, and battery management systems where consistent TIM thickness directly impacts thermal resistance and reliability.

Bonding Source — Krayden's laser and die cutting division

Powered by Bonding Source

Krayden's laser and die cutting capabilities are delivered through Bonding Source, a Krayden company specializing in converting and precision fabrication of adhesive films, thermal materials, and specialty laminates for microelectronics and RF applications.

With deep expertise in film epoxies, preform design, and assembly-ready packaging, Bonding Source serves as a technical resource as much as a converting operation — helping engineers select the right material before the cutting even begins.

From Specification to Production

Krayden supports the full process from initial material selection through to production-ready preform delivery.
