Application Methods

HumiSeal® 1A33 SEC is engineered primarily for atomized spray application. Its shear-responsive viscosity provides excellent edge coverage without requiring dilution.

• Spraying (Recommended): Designed to reach application viscosity under shear, enabling smooth atomized spray coating. No additional thinner is required for standard operation.

• Dipping: Possible but not the primary method. Coating behavior may vary depending on component density—ensure controlled withdrawal to avoid excess buildup.

• Brushing: Suitable for local touch-up or repair. As with all polyurethane coatings, uniformity depends on operator technique.

Important Notes:

• Surfaces must be free of moisture, grease, flux residues, and contaminants
• No thinning is required for spray application due to built-in shear thinning characteristics
• Allow product to equilibrate for 24 hours at ambient conditions before use
• Perform validation prior to full production use

Application Compatibility

HumiSeal® 1A33 SEC is compatible with common PCB substrates and electronic assemblies used in automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.

Compatible With:
✔ FR‑4 PCB substrates
✔ Copper, tin, nickel, and plated component finishes
✔ No‑clean assemblies and low-residue processes
✔ Automated spray systems (ideal), manual touch-up tools

Not Recommended For:
✖ Contaminated or wet substrates
✖ Use near open flames, sparks, or ignition sources during application

Additional Guidance:
UV fluorescence allows easy inspection and verification of complete and uniform coating coverage, especially on sharp-edge components.

Storage Recommendations 📦

Store HumiSeal® 1A33 SEC in tightly closed containers away from excessive heat or cold. Recommended storage temperature is 0–35°C. Allow the product to equilibrate for 24 hours at 18–32°C before application.

Shelf Life: 6 months from date of manufacture.
